1. Schiffsführerpatent Raft
All issued "Schiffsführerpatente Raft" are still valid and are recognised by the members of the Tyrolean Rafting Association and the Tyrolean regional government. These do not need to be changed, as they continue to be valid throughout the whole of Austria for all commercially used river sections.
The Tyrolean Rafting Association is not responsible for these licenses !

2. Application for Tyrolean Raft Certificate for IRF Guide Level 3 or 4
Holders of an IRF raft guide licence level 3 or level 4 can apply for a Tyrolean raft licence.
The Tyrollean raftguide license is only permitted on river sections in Tyrol that are designated for commercial rafting. Once issued, this license does not need to be renewed.
Requirements are at least 2 training trips in Tyrol on WW level 3, additionally at least 5 training trips in Tyrol on WW level 4 and current knowledge in first aid. This can only be confirmed by the Tyrolean Rafting Association or a raftcompany that operates in Tyrol after the additional training.

The costs are € 15,-- and includes the Tyrolean Rafting Certificate in credit card format.
3. IRF Guide license renewal (Only for Austria)
Only Austrian issued IRF raftguide licences (AUT XX XXX RG X)
can be renewed by the Tyrolean Rafting Federation !
(For renewing other IRF licences please contact the IRF or your IRF assessor).
License renewal without card and update on the IRF homepage: € 25,-.
License renewal with new card and update on the IRF homepage: € 45,-
IRF license are valid for 3 years and must then be renewed by the guide. Unfortunately there won't be any e-mails to remind you !
For the renewal of an IRF raftguide level 2, level 3 or level 4 the following will be required:
- Proof of 10 trips WW II / WW III / WW IV in the last 3 years, in the form of a correctly filled out logbook - Download Logbook here
- Proof of a valid first aid certificate with a minimum of 8 hours course duration (not older than 3 years).
The renewal of an Austrian IRF raft guide license can only be done via our online form !
